Tired of wasting time dealing with a cluttered inbox? Here’s a monthly routine for reducing unwanted email:
Try this:
Once a month go through your inbox and deleted email folder and opt-out. Unsubscribe from all unwanted email lists and subscriptions.
Here’s how:
- Select the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email message and follow website directions for opting-out*
*Note: on email from sketchy or questionable sources avoid clicking any links and instead set the message as spam
- Set as Spam (Outlook: right click and choose “junk email – add to blocked sender’s list”)
- Having issues? Unsubscribe.com offers a free email tool, or report the sender to the Federal Trade Commission
Here’s why:
A little inbox housecleaning goes a long way toward keeping you focused on what’s important. Some e-letters you enjoyed receiving last year might now be wasting space and causing unneeded distraction.
This way you can enjoy the good stuff: important business correspondence, family messages, industry news, and helpful time management tips from Day-Timer.
